The 2006 One Book One Siouxland events began in March with discussion groups at local libraries and coffee shops and culminated on April 22-23 with the showing of the movie at the beautiful Orpheum Theatre in Sioux City. And, as a special treat, One Book One Siouxland brought Mary Badham, the actress who played "Scout," to the theatre for book signings between shows, as well as readings at the Sioux City and South Sioux City public libraries.

Nearly 1,000 persons came to the Orpheum Theatre the weekend of April 22-23 to meet Mary Badham and see the film To Kill a Mockingbird.
