One Book One Siouxland

In spite of a morning snowstorm, families came out to enjoy theSecurity National Bank

One Book One Siouxland sponsored some Roaring 20s fun at the Orpheum Theatre.

Jeffrey McMullen, comedy magician and former Ringling Brothers clown, shared "The Magic of Laughter."

Rich and Karleen Waller had fun as Charles Lindbergh and a suffragette.

Families were greeted by personalities

from the 1920s included flappers, suffragettes,

and Ernest Hemingway.

Musical chairs was a favorite game.

Audience members joined in the fun

to learn the Charleston.

This event is part of The Big Read, an initiative

of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services and Arts Midwest.

"Siouxland" includes the geographic area where Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota meet,

including Sioux City, Iowa, South Sioux City, Neb., North Sioux City, S.D., and surrounding communities.
