Based on the novel Shoeless Joe, “Field of Dreams” is an uplifting, magical film about Iowa corn farmer Ray Kinsella (Kevin Costner) who hears a voice telling him, “If you build it, he will come,” and interprets it as a command to build a baseball diamond in his fields.
